LowGi Diet Suite Launches in the UK

The number of ‘fad diets’ is rapidly increasing, as are the number of people who are classed as clinically obese. This suggests one thing the fad diets don’t work. Many offer rapid weight loss solutions which are difficult to maintain and by no means are sustainable or a healthy way of life which is why they are fads.
Contrastingly, the GI diet, which is more of a lifestyle choice than a diet, IS sustainable, can be adopted for weight management reasons, promotes a number of physical health benefits and supports mental well being.

Lowgidiet.org.uk is a new site that is dedicated to the the gi way of life. It presents an honest and open account of what works well and what doesn’t. The site was created by Chrystal Atkins, who started the gi diet after a bout of ill health says, ‘I have always been fit and healthy until an inexplicable viral infection floored me. The doctors suggested I try out a low gi diet to regain my energy levels up and I haven’t looked back since. I truly believe this is one of the healthiest ways of living and it’s so easy anyone can benefit from it.’

The site offers personal advice (not medical), top tips, recipe ideas and is a forum for debate – not just for gi diet but for general health and well being issues.
