ability to “read” the play such as being in the right place at the right time. The scientists at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden have assigned game intelligence to executive functions which includes mental processes such as planning and problem solving. The study that will be published in PLoS ONE, an online scientific journal, found that 57 elite footballers performed better in the executive function tests than the general population. The academics also found that the higher ranked footballers performed better in the executive function tests.
