TGMS Ltd is one of the country’s leading consultancy practices specialising in the design, specification and project management for the construction of natural turf sports surfaces. If you are looking into a new synthetic sports pitch or even if you want a natural sports pitch then we have the answer to all your turf-based questions.
Artificial football pitch construction can, by some be seen as an almost impossible task, but if you get in touch with the right people, like TGMS, they can offer you plenty of different services from the design of the pitch itself to the support and supervision of the construction of the pitch.
TGMS have established themselves by providing some of the best, and the most highly qualified people, to undertake their installations. They are also corporate members of some renowned industry organisations like the Sport and Play Construction Association (SAPCA) and the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG).
TGMS also work in close contact and in close partnership with some leading sports bodies like Sport England, The Football Association, the Football Foundation and the England and Wales Cricket Board. Their experience knows no bounds with over 400 high-profile jobs which we will happily discuss with you on request.
We believe that the performance of a natural turf surface is governed by the complex interaction of many variables e.g. soil type, water content, soil density, grass species, soil nutrition and pH.
TGMS’s Consultants have particular expertise in addressing these variables in order to optimise the design of natural turf constructions and drainage systems for a range of facilities including:
• Football pitches
• Rugby pitches
• Bowling greens
• Cricket squares and outfields
• Golf courses (greens, tees and fairways)
• Parks, school sportsfields and playing fields
• Polo fields
• Racecourses
Sports pitch drainage is also a big part of what we do and with the inconsistent and largely disappointing British climate, it’s something that more and more sports teams and bodies are looking into. We take plenty of pride in our work and our clients have been more than impressed, with the likes of English Premier League champions Chelsea asking us to redo both their Stamford Bridge football pitch and training pitches, whilst we’ve worked with other football clubs from Middlesbrough in the north-east to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukraine.

LONDON, June 2010: Hungryman, Mother and Fishing Owl Films have created a stunning new film to rally support for Côte d’Ivoire’sWorld Cup team, known as Les Elephants.
The film brings to life the passion of Ivoirians for their national team, with footage of Les Elephants playing their last qualifying game at home before heading off for the tournament in South Africa – the first World Cup held on African soil.
Hungryman made the film while visiting the country to film a Comic Relief campaign, and have presented it as a gift to the FIFA Cote d’Ivoire Federation to help inspire them before the tournament. And so far the team have got off to a flying start, holding Portugal to a draw in their first match.
The film is being seeded virally as well as being hosted on the Hungryman TV website. It was made by writer/director Richard Bullock and shot in the Ivorian capital Abidjan around Les Elephants’ last World Cup qualifying game.
Matt Buels, managing partner at Hungryman, said: “We made this because we wanted to do something for the Cote d’Ivoire team and the FIFA Federation as a thank you for the access they gave us and to inspire the amazing athletes before the World Cup.”
Côte d’Ivoire meets North Korea on June 25.

Limassol, UK ( PressRelease101 ) June 21, 2010 – With the exponentially growing trend of playing bingo online, review site Fantasy Bingo UK has experienced a surge of visitors since the site launched back in March of this year. Alex Eliades, the site founder launched the site for fun following an interest and understanding of the rapidly changing bingo industry and a passion for web development. The aim for the site was to serve as a resource for those interested to compare bingo sites and understand the pros and cons of each operators offerings.
Soon after launch the site received advertising offers to promote the services of over 30 bingo brands, and if an agreement was made with every one of them it would have derailed the sites mission of “providing an unbiased resource for those wanting to find out the best places to play bingo“. Instead the position decided was to be very selective with the brands the site would advertise, therefore deciding to stick to the most reputable operators and keep all of the reviews impartial outlining the negatives as well as positives of each one. This strategy has proven a great success and Fantasy Bingo UK has received feedback that suggests it is seen as a professional and credible bingo comparison site, which has been backed up by thousands of monthly visitors. Alex said that “using Google Analytics and setting up goals has allowed me to track the best performing areas of my site and see from where potential bingo players are most likely to exit my site… often going directly to sign up with an operator based on the information they have retrieved from my site”.
The site has become a business and now employs a content writer and has two SEO companies working on the site. Alex said that “I had never dreamt that this site would have forced me into becoming self employed, I feel very lucky indeed”. Apparently, one of the main challenges he faced was the extreme competitiveness of organic search results for anything to do with the keyword “bingo”. After taking a leap of faith and investing thousands of pounds in SEO the site has managed to achieve number 1 position in Google for a range of search terms, which has really helped bring in a lot of visitors, bolstering performance based marketing revenues.
A sneak preview of the future plans for the site includes a social network for the 5,000 or so site users so far with a unique way of integrating into Facebook. According to Sarah Taylor, there are a lot of other plans in the pipeline but nothing else was disclosed and we were told that we would have to wait and see.

Limassol, ( pressrelease101.co.uk ) May 12, 2010 – Online bingo has erupted in recent years and there are now over 250 providers on the Internet… most good and some bad. Here we have seen a revolutionary shift in market trend where big names brands like Gala Bingo, William Hill and Ladbrokes are being outperformed by new pure online names in gaming such as PartyGaming, 888 and Foxy Bingo. Many of us have started hearing about these brands on TV ads and some of us simply haven’t heard of the pure play online brands at all, but all of this leaves a doubt in peoples mind as to who is best to play with. A lot of new players therefore either take a risk with the operator they go with and play on the first site they come across or go for established offline brands, which doesn’t necessarily lead to the best operator for that specific player. Others however do some research on the Internet for recommendations on which operators are best and why, which is where Fantasy Bingo UK fills the gap. The new site launched March 2010 and addresses this issue by reviewing most of the major brands online, giving readers unbiased ratings, reviews and comparisons of only the most reputable providers. Shifty providers or operators without presence simply will not find their way on to the website leaving only safe options for those wishing to play online.
This new site consists of several major sections including an editor’s top ten bingo list, an interactive comparison table of recommended operators, a list of all the sites that offer bingo that is free to play and details of the sign up bonuses available through the site itself. There is also a complete guide that covers how the game works online, the different payment options (including using Paypal), playing tips, the operator networks, an explanation of the bonuses plus a lot more. There is also an ‘Other Games’ section detailing the most popular mini-games available, which includes reviews of Deal or No Deal, Goldenballs, Snap and Monopoly Snap, as well as Backgammon. A lot of these mini-games are TV ports of game shows, conversions of board games and variations of more traditional games. In a nutshell the new Fantasy Bingo UK portal gives users an understanding of which bingo operator is best, based on what is important to them. Since launching, the site has been a hit and has become extremely popular with new players, helping them get started.
The Fantasy Bingo UK team have also started sending out email newsletters containing news about what is going on in the industry and also details of the current offers. To register for emails you can simply sign up on the website. The team have said that they will soon be launching more social networking capabilities with a community forum where players or those looking to play can share their opinions and experiences. They will also give users the opportunity to submit their preferences when they sign up so if a user opts-in for newsletters, they will only receive information in these newsletters that is of interest to them.
The website itself is not a unique concept with many other similar portals out there, however the Fantasy Bingo UK team seem to have done things slightly differently from the rest. I think the main difference is that their reviews are completely unbiased and they have removed the gimmicky promotional factor that is found with many similar sites. The portal has become a trusted and reliable source of information for the online bingo world. If you are interested in find the right bingo provider then this site is definitely worth looking at.

A study published in the latest edition of Obesity Facts, The European Journal of Obesity, which compares different methods of weight loss may offer a fresh way to help address the obesity crisis that is draining health reserves.
Sedentary lifestyles and increasing consumption of convenience foods are being blamed for the dramatic rise in obesity levels in England. The NHS Information Centre reports that in 2007, one in four adults was classified as obese. If left unchecked this could rise to nine in 10 adults by 2050.
The results of this independent study, led by Dr Dirk Vissers in Belgium, show that Power Plate® exercise, combined with a calorie-controlled diet, has the potential both to help overweight people lose weight and to maintain this weight loss.*
It concluded that combining whole body vibration (WBV) training with caloric restriction can help to achieve a sustained long-term weight loss of 5-10%. The preliminary data show that WBV training may have the potential to reduce visceral adipose tissue (VAT) more than aerobic exercise in obese adults, possibly making it a meaningful addition to future weight loss programs.
The study showed that those who exercised on Power Plate® machines had a much greater decrease in visceral fat tissue (tissue which sits between the organs in the abdomen). High levels of visceral fat are a major health concern, as there is a strong correlation with the incidence of cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. Even those who are not visibly overweight can still have high levels of visceral fat.
This particular study involved 79 overweight people (61 of whom completed the study), who were randomly divided into four groups. The first group received a low-calorie diet only, the second dieted and did traditional fitness training, including cardio and weights exercises, the third group dieted and followed a progressive Power Plate® machine training program, while the fourth was the control group.
Each group followed its own specific intervention for six months and was then tracked for another six months, with no intervention. The subjects’ measurements were taken at three, six and 12 months through the study.
After the first six months, the group who dieted and followed a Power Plate® fitness regime showed both the largest percentage decrease in body weight and in visceral adipose tissue. Those in the diet and traditional fitness groups showed a slightly smaller decrease in both measurements, while the control group registered no significant change.
More significantly, in measurements taken at the end of the year-long study, after all groups had returned to their usual lifestyle, the group who exercised on the Power Plate® machines were found to have maintained the level of reduction in visceral adipose tissue. However the diet and fitness groups had returned to the baseline level for visceral adipose tissue.
The Power Plate® machine is a certified Level IIa Medical Device, meaning health professionals can prescribe Acceleration Training™ exercise as part of a wider treatment regime to aid a range of medical conditions, including weight reduction programmes.
As overweight and obese people are at much higher risk of developing serious diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and breast, endometrial and colon cancer, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), this puts a major strain on both the government’s scarce health resources and the wider economy.
Figures from the Department of Health released in March 2009 show that issues such as lost productivity through increased absenteeism cost England about £16 billion each year and this could rise to £50 billion by 2050.
As obesity continues to take its toll on society, being cited by the Department of Health as the cause of 9,000 premature deaths each year and reducing life expectancy by an average of nine years, these findings show that training on a Power Plate® machine may offer a meaningful addition to future weight loss programs.

Coming hard on the heels of the IPL is the 2010 T20 World Cup as all the big names head to the Caribbean to play in the third staging of the tournament with the betting for the International event looking as open and as exciting as ever. T20 fever is continuing to grow with every passing year and interest has never been greater following a brilliant IPL season out in India recently. Rarely in the past have an England team looked so strong heading into an International tournament but Paul Collingwood’s men head to the West Indies with genuine chances of doing well over the next couple of weeks. The format of Twenty20 Cricket of course means that any team can have a good tournament and go all the way but with the batting line-up in particular looking exciting for England it could be an interesting tournament. Online Betting is going to be very active in the next forthnight with all the bookies offering good Free Bets for the tournament including Bet365 who offer £200 as an introductory bonus for new customers.
The T20 World Cup Odds are telling us that England are one of the outsiders when it comes to the Test playing nations but that means there is some good value on offer for cricket punters. There are some new stars in the England team with the explosive pairing of Michael Lumb and Craig Kieswetter set to open the batting. They will be backed up by the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Eoin Morgan and Paul Collingwood which on paper looks an extremely strong team that is capable of blowing away any team on a good day. They will need to find their feet quickly though with a tough match against the host the West Indies in their opening T20 World Cup fixture to contend with. The usual teams head the T20 World Cup Betting with Australia and South Africa fighting it out for overall favouritism for the tournament. The Aussies are looking strong with David Warner their star man at the top of the innings and he showed what he could do with some big hitting in the IPL, if he can fire then Australia should be able to justify favouritism out in the Caribbean. South Africa head to most tournaments well backed and they once again look very strong ahead of this one. They have a strong experienced batting line-up which is backed up by the bowlers which include Dale Steyn who is considered the best fast bowler in the world at the moment. The worry for their punters will be that they tend to crack under the pressure of being well fancied and that is a tag they will need to shake off if they are to realise their potential in this World Cup.
The defending champions are Pakistan after they won the tournament in England last year and they are a fascinating team once again this time, they have been through some turmoil in recent months with various players getting banned but they love to play T20 Cricket so cannot be ruled out. In Shahid Afridi they have a Captain and a player who is capable of winning any match on his own but it would be a surprise if they managed to defend their title as the latest betting suggests. Their biggest rivals are of course India and they look to have a strong looking squad in this form of the game, they are hugely experienced in this format with all their players taking part in the IPL which could prove crucial. They are missing Virender Sehwag but Virat Kohli had a great time with the Chennai Super Kings and could well be one of the stars of the tournament for the Indians. Twenty20 Cricket is unpredictable by its very nature but we do like the chances of England to do well during this tournament if their batting line-up fires as expected. It will no doubt be a Festival of big hitting as Tweenty20 always is and this year’s tournament looks extremely competitive from a playing and a betting point of view.
