IT Recruitment company gives 25% of fee to Children in Need!

November 4, 2010 – Mount Recruitment the Lancashire IT Recruitment Consultancy, have announced that from the 1st November 2010 that any new IT vacancies registered with them before the 19th November 2010 will have 25% of the subsequent placement fee donated to the Charity ‘Children in Need’.

If you are planning to recruit any IT Staff (from junior Developers, to Consulting Directors) over the coming months, perhaps in the New Year then why not register your IT or Sales vacancies with Mount Recruitment and help them donate as much as possible to a worthy cause!

This fund raising offer has the potential to raise substantial donations for Children in Need from Corporate bank balances. Mount Recruitment offer a number of ‘recruitment packages’ with a flexible fee structure but even at the lowest fee, 8% of annual base salary the amount donated could really add up. Dependant on the package chosen a £20000 placement could earn Children in Need anywhere between £400 and £850. If the salary is nearer the £30000 average salary then the amount donated for just one IT Vacancy could be £1275!

Director Grant Bodie said “It seems wrong not to do something for Children in Need when the company is doing so well. I am working hard and thought that perhaps this way I can do what I do best and still raise money!”

Mount Recruitment has firmly established itself as experts in IT Recruitment across the UK but they have shown particular dedication to recruiting IT staff in the Lancashire and Cumbria area. The key to their success has been the level of interaction they have and relationships they build with Clients and Candidates alike.

If you are not hiring but would like to help then forward this press release out to as many people as possible or alternatively post it on your site!

Search.co.uk calls for improved treatment of job seekers

The online recruitment procedures of many organisations are failing to treat job applicants with enough respect, according to leading online UK jobs agency Search.co.uk.

A group of Scottish job seekers recently told Search.co.uk that they don’t expect a response any more when they apply for positions advertised on most job advertising websites and many of their past applications weren’t even acknowledged. In fact, on average, only one in five of recent online job applications resulted in any type of response.

That is a pretty sad indictment of those employer advertisers and their attitude to applicants. There is no excuse for not acknowledging job applications and keeping applicants informed at each of the key stages of the recruitment process.

With all the recent discussion about ‘employer branding’, it makes no sense to create a group of disaffected applicants who feel the recruiting employer has little or no regard for the efforts they have made in applying for jobs.

There’s really is no excuse for this as current online management tools mean it can be as easy as clicking a button for an employer to acknowledge and respond appropriately to an application. So, why don’t more employers do it?

At Search.co.uk this openness, ease of use and transparency has been built into all the online response management processes. These features are available to all advertising employers using the web site.

Job descriptions in many on-line advertisements are also poorly worded. This leads to applications from people who are not appropriately qualified for vacancies and to well-qualified candidates deciding not to apply because they don’t fully appreciate the job requirements.

Recruitment processes should focus on more than just simple selection. They should be seen as a way to communicate with applicants

Every job applicant should know:

* that information they provide is kept secure and confidential.
* what will happen next in the recruitment process.
* when they will learn the outcome of their application.
* what the ultimate outcome is.

Search.co.uk has these steps built in to their online service for advertisers so that every job seeker can be attracted, initially assessed, acknowledged and responded to with a couple of ‘clicks’.
