Bookmakers set to be on the ropes if David Haye beats Klitschko

It is gearing up to be one of the biggest fights of all time. The fight that many thought was never going to happen, David Haye was accused of being scared of fighting the Ukrainian Klitschko brothers but now the time has come and the trash talking has already begun in earnest.

The fight is looking like being an even more betted on event than Ricky ‘The Hit Man’ Hatton’s title fight against the American Floyd Mayweather, in that bout the UK backed Hatton heavily and luckily for the bookmakers Hatton lost.

This is going to be the case again for another highly rated British fighter looking at defending his title; the UK betting public are set to wage a lot of cash on David Haye and if the Brit wins this could spell disaster for bookies.

Many bookies are already looking at damage control by reducing their odds to shorter odds and tempting people to bet on Klitschko by tipping the Ukrainian hard man as the favourite with odds of 1/2 on many betting websites.

Haye, though, is facing an uphill struggle to beat the Ukrainian and it looks like it will definitely be his biggest challenge yet, Klitschko while being strong and able to take a punch has the speed which he hasn’t faced against his previous opponents. While Haye has looked strong, this could be his toughest test yet, so maybe the UK bookies will be alright.

If Haye is to win though, UK bookies will be in for a massive pay out to the millions of Brit’s who are set to put their cash on the home-town hero.
