Domino’s, the local pizza delivery expert, opened a new store in Rugeley yesterday [Thursday, March 22]. The new store, located in Pear Tree Shopping Centre, comes as a welcome boost to the area with the creation of 25-30 new jobs.
Domino’s Pizza believes in opportunities for all. The company is an Age Positive Employer Champion, which means that it has been recognised for its commitment to welcoming applicants of all ages. Domino’s is recruiting on the basis of ability and, as many team members go on to management positions in under two years, this recruitment drive is a fantastic opportunity for jobseekers in Rugeley.
At induction, as well as throughout their career, Domino’s offers its employees full training, ranging from dough management and food hygiene for pizza makers through to road safety for pizza delivery experts. Domino’s always recruits from the surrounding area and, with an additional focus on developing strong community links, aims to deliver more than just great tasting pizza. In particular, Domino’s supports Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB) on both a national and local level. SOGB provides people with learning disabilities opportunities to take part in year-round sports training and competition.
Ben Sandy, franchisee of the new Domino’s Pizza store, said; “I am delighted to open a new store in Rugeley. At Domino’s, we are passionate about being part of the local community and I am looking forward to serving the homes in the area with our fresh, delicious pizza and to establishing the brand as a firm favourite with the local residents.”
In celebration of the new store opening, pupils from the Chase View Community Primary School were invited along to open the store, learn how to make pizza and were given a guided tour of the new store.
Domino’s in Rugeley is still recruiting for delivery drivers. If you are interested in applying, please contact Ben Sandy on bnsandy@dominosuk.com .
