Protective paints are usually applied to certain structures because of objectives such as preventing those areas from reacting to the elements in the environment. There are well known coatings being offered in shops today which you can try, but of course, it’s up to you to linger on a particular brand if you have yet to try something better than what is being offered in the shops today.

There are lots of http://www.paintsdirect.co.uk/- cheap roof coatings out there, many of which claim to contain the leading brand Thermilate but often these do not, only products verified by Thermilate should be trusted as such. Products which contain Thermilate promise to provide you with a durable and protected home, whilst helping to prevent energy loss through the roof of the building.

It is really hard to decide on what internal paint to use especially if you are not so knowledgeable in this field. Help is at hand with lots of resources across the web that teach how to choose the right paint and coatings for your home but of course only Thermilate paints are energy savings /insulating paints. Unfortunately many have yet to learn that this option is available to them instead of just going for the aesthetic appeal of the paint alone, therefore obtaining less value.

Upon deciding to engage on a paint job for your home, it is now time to undergo another tiring process which is the selection of the paint. This is hard because you will not be able to choose the right one unless you are knowledgeable in paints and home coating.

In this process you can try looking for the internet and making some researches since there are lots of websites that offers this type of offer. It will be best if you will go over some magazines too since they are offering paint color combinations at times too. A paint offers new look and appeal to a home and it also provides an atmosphere for the entire family. You need to choose a color that is pleasing to the eye and a color that will make a sense of order. There are times when people commit wrong choices of paints but there are also times when they chose the one that is not vibrant to the eyes and may cause the house to look cluttered. Blackcircles.com Founder (Michael Welch) Inducted Into Hall of Fame

This June Shell LiveWIRE inducted nine new entrepreneurs into its International ‘Hall of Fame’. Among these inventive and original thinkers was Michael Welch, the founder and Managing Director of Blackcircles.com – the UK’s leading online tyre retailer.

To be inducted into the Hall Of Fame is a true honour for an entrepreneur as Shell LiveWIRE is a leading international network which strives to inspire and develop enterprise in young people. Its Hall of Fame is an exclusive universal platform, which showcases the most extraordinary entrepreneurs that have worked with – and benefited from – many of the LiveWIRE programmes that take place around the planet.

Karen Bellis of Shell LiveWIRE International announced the latest inductees and said, “Michael Welch has shown remarkable vision, innovation, courage and leadership to turn a business opportunity into an outstanding commercial success. The business has a real “Wow!” factor and Michael is an inspiration to budding entrepreneurs, not just in the UK but across the globe. He thoroughly deserves his place in the Hall of Fame.”

Michael’s long journey to this induction started when he was just 16 years old. After leaving school he worked as a tyre fitter and it was during this time that he spotted an opportunity to transform the tyre fitting market. Michael realised that by giving customers the chance to buy tyres online, a company could deliver a fast, cheap way for customers to buy and fit tyres. Thanks to his business model, Blackcircles.com’s prices are on average 40% less than that of the high street dealers.

When asked for a few words on his inclusion into the Hall of Fame, Michael Welch said, “I am very pleased to join this elite group of international LiveWIRE entrepreneurs. I have had a long successful relationship with Shell LiveWire which makes this induction even more gratifying. To be counted as a hall of famer with this leading organisation is a true honour and is a measure of how far Blackcircles.com has come.”

Blackcircles.com was launched in 2001 and since then has gone from strength to strength. Currenty, they sell around one million tyres to well over a quarter of a million customers throughout the country, making them the UK’s leading online tyre retailer. Today Blackcircles.com has an annual turnover of around £12.5 million, employs 40 staff and through their 1,100 strong garage network indirectly supports independent tyre fitters across the UK.

Most recently Blackcircles.com took another step into the motor industry by launching a wide range of car servicing options for motorists to take advantage of. In the same way that Michael Welch revolutionised the tyre industry, Blackcircles.com is set to take the servicing industry by storm. On average they can offer customers car servicing at 60% cheaper than the main dealer’s prices, making them the first choice for cheap car servicing and a first rate customer experience.

Michael Welch previously won the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award back in 2003.

Great garage storage ideas from Storagemaker

Storagemaker, the UK’s leading storage solutions designer and manufacturer, is delighted to announce the launch of their latest garage storage kits on their new look website. Aimed at the individual customer rather than just corporate contacts, the new storage solutions offer an innovative, practical and good-looking alternative to traditional storage solutions.

The garage storage kits contain everything that the customer needs to tidy up everything from errant hose pipes right through to tools, cans and jars. “The basic idea is simplicity itself,” explains Stephen Richards, Online Manager of Storagemaker. “The kits come with everything you need to create your own individual garage storage solutions. By simply putting up the slatwalls and then inserting the wire hooks, multi-purpose grab hooks and storage baskets, the customer can utilise the wall space within a garage so that everything is clearly visible and organised to their specifications,” he adds.

A place for everything and everything in its place…

The garage storage kits come in a range of sizes to suit any storage solution requirement. The ‘starter’ pack contains four, two-metre long slatwall sections and a selection of multi-purpose hooks and a basket for smaller spaces. The kits then go up in size to the largest kit, which contains 12 slatwall panels and consists of 79 pieces for larger storage areas. “With these garage storage kits, you can finally find a place for everything and put everything in its place,” explains Stephen. “The kits are so simple to use and install that you could transform a cluttered garage space into a well-organised and smart-looking area in an afternoon,” he adds.

Storagemaker have been one of the UK’s leading storage solution providers for over 15 years, and their ethos is simple solutions, innovative design and practical application. “It doesn’t matter what you want to use your storage solution for, whether it’s tidying up your gardening equipment or organising your tools. The multi-purpose hooks are designed to work for any application, and their simple, clean and elegant lines add a touch of professionalism to any garage space,” explains Stephen. “We have been providing these kits to some of the largest new build organisations for over 10 years. So we thought it was time that the public, who may be drowning under a sea of clutter in their garages, had the opportunity to utilise the very latest in storage solutions for themselves. The garage storage kits offer the ideal opportunity to make what is often a wasted space into an area of the home that can be used for more than just parking the car or storing odds and ends,” he adds.

Garage storage organisation kits are available online at the company’s website at www.storagemaker.co.uk, with secure, online payment facilities and next day delivery options to mainland destinations.

Streetdaq.co.uk launch starts the next internet gold rush

The banking crisis may have spelt an end to the housing boom, but a new real estate gold rush has just begun with the launch of Streetdaq.co.uk, a unique new web site where bargains can be had and good regular profits made.

You may not be able to get a mortgage for a property in the current economic climate, but on Streetdaq.co.uk you can buy a street – albeit a virtual one – for as little as £4.99 – an ideal novelty gift for family and friends.

Where the NASDAQ trades shares, Streetdaq.co.uk trades virtual street deeds in a user-friendly environment that provides all the information and tools required to help young and experienced traders alike to get acquainted with the concept and functionality of virtual street deed trading as well as having lots of fun in the process.

Streets are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis and any street deed is only ever sold to one person but can then be traded to other members for a profit. With over 1.9 million street deeds available there are plenty to choose from, but the founders of the site recommend buying now before it is too late. “People that don’t buy now will be disappointed later just as those who missed out on snapping up the choice domain names on the internet for a bargain in the early days and sold them for a tidy profit later,” says Charlie Littlejohn, managing director, Streetdaq.co.uk.

“Purchasing a UK virtual street deed on Streetdaq will provide you with lots of fun as well as an astounding return on investment, but do not take our word for it,” says Littlejohn. “Check the website and other reviews of the site to find that Streetdaq is going to be the next big thing online.”

Using the new site businesses can buy the street they are located in, and individuals can buy their favourite street, or gift one to someone else. Alex Kilgour, one of the first to buy some streets, and who is already a big fan of the site, said: “I’ve snapped up the opportunity to buy the famous Liverpool football street of Anfield Road, home to Liverpool FC in the heart of the city of Liverpool. I bought it for just £4.99 and I was offered £50.00 for it just a few days later. That’s a 1000 per cent profit, if I choose to sell it. That’s a much better ROI than the current American Liverpool FC owners have made by purchasing the famous Liverpool Football Club. Maybe I should forget owning the ‘virtual’ Anfield Street and do a ‘real’ takeover for the sake of Liverpool fans around the globe!”.

As well as potentially making a good profit when you sell a street deed on Streetdaq you can also generate a good monthly income while you own it. One way is by forwarding the URL of your deed to friends and family via email and social sites like Bebo, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. If one of them buys a new street on Streetdaq via your referrer link within 24 hours you automatically receive £1 paid into your Paypal account for every street deed that they buy.

You will also receive £1 to your PayPal account if your new street is on the home page of Steetdaq and a visitor lands on it, or on your street page directly via a search engine, and then buys a new street on Streetdaq within the 24 hours of visiting Streetdaq.co.uk.

Further revenue can be obtained on Streetdaq by selling advertising space. Each virtual street has five small contextual advertising or sponsorship spaces. This means that when your virtual street has lots of traffic it will be very attractive to local advertisers or sponsors who can submit a request to advertise on one of the five advertising spaces.

As soon as you have purchased your virtual street deed, you can start adding content to your virtual street deed blog community. The Anfield Road blog, for example, can be viewed here. This might not sound much, but content is king when it comes to websites. The more information, pictures and videos you add on your blog, the more visitors you will attract and thus increase the value of your street.

A search on the Streetdaq 1.9 million street name database throws up some surprising, funny and extremely unusual street names in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The current Top 5 funny street names found on the Streetdaq database are – Sluts Hole Lane, Pratt Street, Cock Lane, Fanny Street, and Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate Street.

VB Partnership to take the world on an epic journey of Robin Hood’s Britain

Celebrating the release of ‘Robin Hood’, the Britain based film epic staring Russell Crowe as the legendary outlaw, national tourism agency

[UKPRwire, Sun Jun 06 2010] Celebrating the release of ‘Robin Hood’, the Britain based film epic staring Russell Crowe as the legendary outlaw, national tourism agency, VisitBritain and Universal Pictures along with other key tourism agencies and local authorities (the VB partnership) have come together to maximise exposure for the film, Nottingham, Sherwood Forest and the great British filming locations.

In line with the film’s release, the VB partnership has joined forces with Universal Pictures to invite tourists to become part of the motion picture experience at Robin Hood – The Movie, an exhibition of costumes, props and behind the scenes materials. The exhibition will also feature weaponry and props from the film itself and will be on display in Nottingham Castle and the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre from 23 March.

Robin Hood opens in cinemas in India on 11 June. One scene from the new epic adaptation was filmed on location in the East Midlands along with other locations around Britain such as Pembrokeshire and the Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire.

Ridley Scott, the film’s director, said: “It was fundamental to the project that this motion picture was filmed in Britain, it was extremely important to catch the real essence and feeling only British locations in particular could achieve. This new adaptation is a Robin Hood that viewers across the world have never seen before. The only way we could achieve such a successful production was with the authenticity of the locations Britain and the East Midlands had to offer.”
The website http://visitbritain.co.in/robinhood features movie trailers, film locations and content regarding Britain so that visitors can follow in the footsteps of Robin Hood including a ‘Hood Trail’.

Sandie Dawe, Chief Executive VisitBritain said: “Robin Hood is an internationally recognised icon around the world with an enduring interest in his story. We know that 40% of our potential visitors would be ‘very likely’ to visit places from films and thoroughly enjoy visiting film locations they see on the big screen. Robin Hood is one of the few icons who has strong links to destination roots and many people from around the world can again associate the character with Nottingham.
So who better than VisitBritain and the VB partnership to promote the film with our wealth of experience in delivering world-class global promotions around the release of major blockbuster films.”

Mike Baulcombe, tourism leader at Experience Nottinghamshire, added: “The release of Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood film is a great opportunity for us to encourage visitors from around the world to experience the home of Robin Hood, here in Nottingham and Sherwood Forest. The strength of our tourism offer combined with its Robin Hood heritage is proving to be a winning marketing tool in terms of raising Nottinghamshire’s profile and positioning us as a top national and international destination to visit.”

The VB partnership are also providing a unique competition opportunity in it’s 35 markets around the world for someone to banquet privately at Nottingham Castle with the Sheriff, along with one-on-one archery lessons at Sherwood Forest. Visit www.thenewsmarket.com/visitbritain – where you can find our B-Roll footage and images relating to Robin Hood and interviews with Russell Crowe besides other attractions.

Flutteroo.co.uk: More Cash Auctions Launched on Flutteroo’s Buy it Now

Flutteroo has launched more cash auctions on the ‘Buy it Now’ section of their online pay per bid website. The successful internet auctions company revealed a previous trial had been a huge hit with lots of players winning cash very cheaply.

The idea is based on players buying if they like the saving shown at that moment in time – they can view the current price on Buy it Now auctions and then, if they like it they can buy it at a significant saving. However, if they don’t, they can try again later, with each click making the price drop more. Flutteroo have seen regular savings on money such as £25 going for under £20!

They have already been auctioning some luxury products, such as iPods, flatscreen TVs and laptops at cut prices, but took it to a whole new level by auctioning off money. The new increased number of cash auctions means that players on the website will now have a better chance of winning ‘free money’, which is sure to be a popular concept!

The company has gone from strength to strength since launching last year and are continuing to grow by evolving their games and responding to feedback from consumers, which they say is very important to their development.

A spokesperson for Flutteroo, commented: ‘Flutteroo tested the cash auctions as a trial and found it was a hugely popular notion which really captured the players’ imagination. If they get their tactics right, winners really can win ‘free money’ on Buy It Now. It’s a great new game and we’re really excited about seeing players’ reactions to it’.

The online auctions website was the brainchild of Managing Director, Dave Hobday, who previously worked in senior management and marketing from major companies like Proctor & Gamble, Sportingbet, HBOS and Telewest. Flutteroo was his concept for his own company to combine traditional retailing with skill and fun.

There are lots of exciting things in the pipeline for the company, with plans to take Flutteroo global with online auctions all over the world. However, in the time being, refining the existing auctions, such as Buy it Now, so that they are completely in tune with consumer feedback seems to be Flutteroo’s main focus.

About Flutteroo.co.uk

Flutteroo is a new business that is entering the rapidly growing market of internet ‘Pay Per Bid Auctions’. Pay Per Bid Auctions combine traditional retailing with skill and strategy. Flutteroo is privately funded and based in west London. Dave Hobday has a senior management and marketing background from companies including Sportingbet, HBOS, Telewest and Procter & Gamble. The management team has successfully raised over one million pounds in first round funding.
