Demand for luxury holidays to France still strong this summer

Luxury holiday provider Villissima have announced that they are continuing to see strong demand for luxury holidays within the south of France this summer, despite record upset within the aviation and holiday sector.

Mr Williamson from Villissima says: “At Villissima we deal with the premium end of the holiday market offering luxury holidays to a range of exclusive holiday destinations around the world including France, Italy and Morocco.

“The last two years have been extremely difficult for the holiday industry in the UK. As we are all too aware the country has suffered a severe recession in addition to this ongoing strikes with British Airways, the collapse of a number of airline carriers and more recently the problems with volcanic ash have left holiday makers less confident in booking a holiday abroad.

“Thankfully as a business we have suffered very little in way of drop of bookings over this time frame. This is largely down to the clientele that we work with who have been unaffected by the recession. In addition to this most of our clients have been with us for a number of years now and know that the level of service and attention to detail on a Villissima holiday is unlike anything any other luxury holiday provider can provide.”

KIDS go FREE to Spain this summer!

FREE Spanish holidays for children aged up to 14!

FAMILIES who are planning their big getaway this August but who are faced with crippling prices for hotels and activities, now have no excuse for not enjoying some serious family time together.

Bespoke travel specialist Camino Holidays make sure that you stay on budget and have a good time with their special Kids Go For Free package to southern Spain during the first two weeks of August (Sunday 1 – Sunday 8 August OR Sunday 8 – Sunday 15 August.)

Stay in a 15th century townhouse, now converted to three apartments, in the heart of Jerez de la Frontera – a little oasis of calm and peace in this picturesque and charming town in South West Andalucia. Jerez is 15 kilometres from the sea. The townhouse has a pool in the central patio and a large roof terrace. All apartments have their own large private terraces.

PRICES: £295 per person (for 2 adults) or £260 (for 3 adults) BUT best of all….CHILDREN AGED 2 – 14 ARE FREE!
Prices include accommodation as well as airport pickups from Malaga/Gibraltar, Sevilla or Jerez as well and a welcome meal in a local restaurant.

Rosi Reed who runs Camino and is a mum herself knows only too well how expensive a family holiday can be. She said: “We want to be able to offer families the chance to spend time together without the stress of spending all your hard earned cash. With more parents working full time than ever before, taking time off together to enjoy a bespoke holiday is a precious commodity but not something that has been affordable for a lot of people until now.”

Rosi is a specialist travel consultant and has spent many years creating perfect holidays for clients to the Andalucia region of Spain. She added: “Clients can do as much or as little as they please. Some people simply want to kick back and relax those with families might want some activities planned and to get a taste of local Spanish culture. We can offer our clients all this and more by working with them to meet their budgets.”

Rosi said: “We started our Kids Go Free idea because we know how much families value their time together and how expensive children are to run! This particular family holiday gives parents the chance to show and share with their kids the “real Spain” staying in Jerez which is still an authentic and unspoilt, charming little Spanish town and enjoying the kind of summer activities enjoyed by the local families. By the first two weeks in August it is time to get away from home for a while and enjoy a bit of an adventure!”

Rosi said: “Obviously our friendly local rep remains in touch if clients need anything. In addition we offer the chance to take family classes in all different types of activities enjoyed by the locals – Flamenco dance, Flamenco guitar, Spanish language (classes for kids as well), Spanish cookery, traditional local crafts, windsurfing classes and so on. Obviously any classes will be an extra cost but we can offer discounts for family groups. We also offer the “no drive, no hassle” option where we drive clients everywhere and even a baby-sitting service for a few adult only evenings. Although these elements cost a bit more it is nice to have little extras to make that perfect holiday.”

Rosi said: “Spending time together as a family, relaxing, learning new things, taking part in your favourite hobbies and absorbing all the fabulous culture that Spain has to offer will make for a memorable and great value holiday.”

We have collated some great tips and hints to help South Africa World Cup travellers to ensure their trip is a good one.”

Carrentals.co.uk’s advice for those travelling to the World Cup finals in 2010:

Plan Ahead – Make sure your passport has at least 30 days left on it before you leave the UK and check that your insurance for travelling covers South Africa and look into the possibility that it may be cheaper to get a one year plan. Check out what jabs you may need and ensure your credit/debit card has no international block on it before you leave.

Getting Around – Hiring a car is the best way to get around for World Cup travellers as the distances that need to be covered are vast. Remember that South African’s drive on the left and at petrol stations, assistants will help you to fill up your vehicle. If you decide against hiring a car then only use official public transport or taxis.

Accommodation – Book before you get here and remember that if you are camping, the weather will be cold as it is winter in South Africa during the finals.

Staying safe – Thieves and pickpockets will be rife so be aware of where you are and what you have on you at all times. Keep valuables in the hotel safe and use official ATM machines only as fraud is common place.

Match Day – Arrive early to matches as security will be tight. Tip parking attendants and ensure you note where you left the car as there will be countless cars in the car park at the end of the game.
